Purgatorio canto 11 opens with a prideful version
of The Lord's Prayer and then continues the canto 10
theme of excessive pride by focusing on several
figures from 13th century Florence, including
Oderisi of Gubbio, a famous miniaturist, who speaks
directly to Dante about the vanity of worldy fame.
