Canto 29. River (March 2017)
(fourth incarnation)
Canto twenty-nine of the poem finds Dante walking along his
side of the river keeping pace with the maiden on the other side.
Then he begins to see a multitude of heavenly visions,
including ethereal lights, seven golden trees, candlesticks,
banners, figures clad in white clothing, surreal winged creatures,
a chariot, three colorful virtuous ladies, and biblical figures.
