At this point in Paradiso Dante ponders how we are possibly
united with our Souls, taking on a body of light as we enter heaven,
which is a strange way of describing Soul's shedding of the physical sheath,
although it could refer to how a part of us remained behind in heaven.
Mars, a brilliant, red-tinged world where everything is brighter
and more beautiful, is the fifth circle of paradise in the Commedia.
